[IN A WORLD LIKE THIS PROMO] BACKSTREET BOYS Performing Live

It has been 20 years since Nick Carter, Howie Dorough, Brian Littrell, AJ McLean and Kevin Richardson burst onto the music scene. World tours, numerous awards and sales of up to 130 million albums worldwide followed.

When Kevin left the band in 2006 to pursue a career in acting, the band carried on without him, but never replicated the success they enjoyed in their early days.

Now reunited with Richardson, The Backstreet Boys are back in full effect to give it all another go.

The band have just announced the release of their brand new album ‘In A World Like This’.

Backstreet Boy Kevin said: “We’re very fortunate we have fans all over the world and it’s our 20th anniversary and we want to take this tour all over the world to celebrate 20 years of music, to celebrate 20 years of being together with our fans and also showcase our new album.”

The Backstreet Boys, sometimes referred to as BSB, are an American vocal harmony group, formed in Orlando, Florida in 1993.

They rose to fame with their debut international album, ‘Backstreet Boys’ (1996). In the following year, they released their second international album ‘Backstreet’s Back’ (1997) and their US debut album which continued the group’s success worldwide. They rose to superstardom with their third studio album ‘Millennium’ (1999) and its follow-up album, ‘Black & Blue’ (2000).

After a two-year hiatus, they regrouped and released a comeback album ‘Never Gone’ (2005). Kevin left the group after the conclusion of Never Gone Tour in 2006 to pursue other interests. He has recently announced that his wife Kristin gave birth to the couple’s second son, Maxwell.

Howie Dorough said the band members enjoy their freedom: “Sometimes we all do individual things and that’s what’s good about the group. None of us stifle each other from doing individual stuff whether it’s solo projects, whether it is acting, writing or producing, but we always know there’s a common finish line and that’s to get to the next concert, the next album, the next goal.”

The Backstreet Boys are currently on tour across the USA until September, before heading to Japan on 2 October and then back to the US for a show in Florida.
